Hi! I’m Lauren Bernard—artist, teacher and founder of Olive Ink.
Olive Ink started in March 2020, when I pulled out my watercolors and started painting. Inspired by my students while teaching online, it became a way to slow down and capture what I saw and felt in the midst of uncertainty. As I shared my work with my students, it gave us all something to hold onto — humor, connection, and self-expression— and helped us get through a heavy time.
I still sketch and paint, usually pulling from what’s happening in my life and the world around me. I love that these little critters bring feelings to life and can brighten someone’s day.
Today, Olive Ink includes cards, stickers, and calendars, and you can find my work in shops around Seattle and at seasonal pop-ups.
